The Ball is a first-person shooter puzzle video game developed by Teotl Studios and published by Tripwire Interactive in 2010. Originally developed as a mod for Unreal Tournament III, the mod was ported over to the Unreal Development Kit to enable a standalone commercial release.[1] The mod was entered into the Unreal Engine 3 Make Something Unreal contest, and picked up multiple awards, including prizes for Best First-Person Shooter Game Mod, and Second Prize overall.[2][3]
The game generated a mixed critical response, receiving a rating of 68% on review aggregation website Metacritic.[4]
The game is one of 13 indie games to be included in Steam's The Potato Sack, as well as to give potatoes in preparation for Portal 2's release.
This game is also available through OnLive.
